What can I play in Transport Fever 3?

Transport Fever 3 is a single-player transport and management game for passengers and freight. Its three modes are Tycoon, Sandbox and Campaign. The game's overall setting runs from 1900 through 2030 and beyond; that range does not mean every campaign mission covers the whole period. The official FAQ describes eight campaign missions, starting with an introduction to the mechanics. The game was released for PC, PlayStation and Xbox on 29 September 2026, according to the official release announcement.

Which transport and world systems matter?

Passengers and goods move by rail, road, water and air. Official material names trains, buses, trams, trucks, ships, planes and helicopters. This page groups them into rail, road, water, fixed-wing air and helicopters to help readers navigate; these are editorial groups, and no vehicle is assumed to carry every cargo. The vehicle directory has the reviewed resource names, groups, year fields and declared cargo classes. Official First Look vehicle announcement.

The four described environments are temperate, desert, tropical and subarctic. They identify settings, not four measured performance profiles or equal map sizes. Published feature descriptions also cover warehouses, configurable loading and unloading, offshore industries, headquarters upgrades, landmarks, optional contracts, subsidies and maintenance within suitable facility coverage. Read the relevant in-game conditions before turning a feature description into a construction plan. Environment announcement · publisher's Tycoon overview · PlayStation feature list.

Where should I look for a specific answer?

  • Choosing transport: Filter the vehicle directory by group, year and declared cargo class. The reviewed Steam build 25533170 contains 306 base resource models; this is a resource count, not the number of distinct purchasable vehicles. Official store and FAQ totals use different marketing counts (275+ and 300+). Steam listing · official FAQ.
  • Finding what an industry needs: Use industries and production chains for 32 base industries and 46 reviewed source rules, including inputs, outputs and conditions. The beverages production example explains how to read one default chain without assuming a live annual production rate.
  • Checking named goods: Open the cargo directory for 36 reviewed cargo types plus passenger. A cargo name alone does not prove that every vehicle can transport it.
  • Understanding town growth: The developer connects passenger trips and required-goods deliveries to growth, modified by reputation, satisfaction, delivery, traffic, noise and pollution. The Tycoon guide explains these six ratings and the limits of the published explanation. Developer's town-growth explanation.
  • Planning shared rail track: Read railway signals for route reservations, passing points, configured alternative terminals and service priority.
  • Using mods: The mod guide covers the official in-game mod.io support and the absence of Steam Workshop. It also separates published support from individual mod compatibility. Official support FAQ.

What has this guide verified?

The linked vehicle, industry and cargo directories use reviewed local resources from Steam build 25533170. Their counts describe that dataset, not every live-game purchase condition, player action or balance rule. The official system descriptions above are attributed to their developers; this site has not tested a complete save, a universal profitable route, exact town-rating thresholds or every campaign step.
